Rahma Radio 97.3 FM is a privately owned radio station in Kano, launched with test transmissions on 12 August 2011, before full commercial programming began shortly after. Branded by its Hausa slogan “Farin Cikin Al’umma” (“Joy of the People”), the station delivers a diverse mix of content that includes health, education, agriculture, capacity building, and human development.
It places special emphasis on empowering women, youth, and individuals with physical challenges through socially conscious programming. Broadcasting primarily in Hausa, Rahma Radio aims to promote business, commerce, and societal reorientation via meaningful, community-focused programs. It is based at Plot 125/127 Rahma Radio Road in Kano’s Trade Fair Complex, remaining a cornerstone for inclusive development in Northern Nigeria.
